7 years agoBoston Celtics center/power forward Al Horford was a little quiet on Wednesday but still gave owners a line to be happy with. Horford finished with 11 points and three assists on offense. He was also a force in the paint, hauling down nine rebounds in his 29 minutes while also pulling away one steal as well. Horford is not always the most fun player to own but is still a great help to owners with his steady top-20 value.--Matthew Thomas

5 days agoAccording to Zack Cox of the Boston Herald, Boston Celtics forward/center Al Horford (toe) won't play against the Miami Heat on Wednesday. He has been dealing with a left big toe sprain for a while and will need some time off to manage the lingering injury. Boston's frontcourt will also be without Kristaps Porzingis (illness), leaving Luke KornetNeemias Queta, and Xavier Tillman Sr. as the only options at center. Kornet has more fantasy appeal as he finished 15 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists in Saturday's victory over the San Antonio Spurs.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

5 days agoBoston Celtics forward/center Al Horford (toe) has been labeled doubtful for Wednesday's matchup against the Miami Heat. He has been nursing a left big toe sprain for a while and appears to need to take some time off to manage the injury. Boston's frontcourt may also be without Kristaps Porzingis (illness) on Monday, leaving Luke Kornet, Neemias Queta, and Xavier Tillman Sr. as the only options at center. Kornet is the most appealing from a fantasy perspective, and he was in fine form in his last outing, notching 15 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists in Saturday's win over the San Antonio Spurs.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoBoston Celtics forward/center Al Horford (toe) will be in the lineup on Friday against the Miami Heat. Boston has upgraded his status from probable to available. With Kristaps Porzingis (illness) out of commission, Horford has recently taken on a heavy workload. He is averaging 15.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.8 steals this month. However, Horford doesn't play back-to-backs, so Luke Kornet and Neemias Queta will likely do the bulk of the work at center on Saturday against the Brooklyn Nets if Porzingis isn't ready to return.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoBoston Celtics center Al Horford (toe) is expected to play on Friday versus the Miami Heat. Hoford appears likely to play Friday after sitting out Monday's game against the Utah Jazz. Unlike Jayson Tatum (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness), who are both questionable, Horford is probable. For the season, Horford has played in 51 games. He averages 8.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. His shooting percentage is 41.9%. Luke Kornet could be more productive if Horford and Porzingis (who is listed as questionable) can't play.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
