Akshay Bhatia Looks To Stay Consistent At WM Phoenix Open
40 mins agoAkshay Bhatia has had a steady start to the year with finishes of T22, T37 (Dubai Desert Classic), and T32 in his first three events. He now shifts his focus to the WM Phoenix Open, an event he has played in just once, missing the cut in 2024. The course rewards good drivers of the golf ball, an area where Bhatia has struggled this year, ranking 146th in total driving and 115th in strokes gained off the tee. However, his accuracy has been a bit stronger, as he ranks 44th in driving accuracy. Bhatia has also been average in ball-striking, gaining just 0.061 strokes on approach (98th). His putter, though, has been on fire to start the year, gaining over 3.1 strokes to the field in each of his two PGA Tour starts. While this course may not suit him perfectly, fantasy managers can't overlook one of the hottest putters in the game for a golfer who also drives the ball accurately. At $8,200 on DraftKings, Bhatia could have sneaky upside.
