Akil Baddoo Taking A Seat Against Lefty On Thursday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Akil Baddoo is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against left-hander Martin Perez and the Boston Red Sox. The team is going with Derek Hill, Robbie Grossman and Victor Reyes in the outfield. Grossman is leading off in the game. The left-handed Baddoo started Wednesday's game with left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound. He went on to go 0-for-5 with four strikeouts in the game, so it's not surprising to see him sitting out on Thursday. Over the year, he's slashing .200/.260/.214 against lefties and .284/.359/.555 against righties. He should be back in the lineup for Friday's game against right-hander Cal Quantrill and the Cleveland Indians.
