Akil Baddoo Drives In Three In Saturday Night's Win
3 years agoDetroit Tigers outfielder Akil Baddoo opened up the scoring for the team in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Minnesota Twins. In the second inning, Baddoo came up with the bases loaded and went on to hit a bases-clearing triple. It was his only hit of the day. He sat against a lefty in Game 1 and went 1-for-4 with three strikeouts in Game 2. Baddoo showed improved plate discipline in June, posting a 13/10 K/BB ratio. That trend hasn't continued so far in July as he now has 11 strikeouts and just one walk this month. Baddoo should be rostered in all AL-only leagues and most five-outfielder leagues. He's been a great source of stolen bases and he should continue to be the Tigers' leadoff hitter most games going forward.
