AJ Pollock Moves From Mariners To Giants
1 year agoThe Seattle Mariners have traded outfielder AJ Pollock, along with utility player Mark Mathias, to the San Francisco Giants ahead of Tuesday's MLB trade deadline. In fact, Tuesday was the target day for Pollock to be activated from the 10-day injured list after dealing with a hamstring injury that has kept him out of action since July 21. It's been tough sledding at the plate for the 35-year-old this season as Pollock is hitting just .173 with five homers and a .548 OPS across 49 games, good for a 51 wRC+ that is 49% below the league average. For his part, Mathias was recently claimed off waivers by the Mariners from the Pittsburgh Pirates where he hit .231 with three stolen bases across 62 trips to the plate.
