Aidan O'Connell Gets Win In Second Start
1 year agoLas Vegas Raiders rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell completed 16 passes on 25 attempts (64%) for 209 yards in the Week 9 win against the New York Giants. The rookie quarterback had no issues dissecting the Giants defense en route to a blowout victory. O'Connell protected the ball but failed to score a touchdown in the contest. The Raiders new-look offense appeared to take a step in the right direction after firing their head coach, offensive coordinator, and general manager. Fantasy managers and Raiders fans should be encouraged by O'Connell's willingness to throw the long ball. Still, it will be interesting to see how he performs in tougher matchups moving forward. The Raiders have a Week 10 matchup with the New York Jets, who have allowed the third-fewest passing yards this season. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on O'Connell because he may find some relevance in the future.
