Agustin Ramirez Heating Up In Triple-A
4 months agoPromoted from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on June 19, New York Yankees catcher/first base prospect Agustin Ramirez struggled in his few games. Through his first ten games, he went just 4-for-39 (.111 AVG) with one home run, five RBI, and a 5:11 BB/SO ratio. However, he seems to have adjusted. Recently, he's turned things around and played much better. Over the last week, he's 6-for-25 (.273 AVG) with three homers, four RBI, and a 3:5 BB/SO. Between Double-A and Triple-A, Ramirez is slashing .266/.356/.532 with 14 doubles, 20 homers, 58 RBI, and 36:59 BB/SO. The Yankees' No. 20 prospect (per MLB.com), Ramirez could make his MLB debut later this season.
