After Daytona Flip, Ryan Preece Likely to Focus on Finishing at Atlanta
59 seconds agoAlthough Ryan Preece has earned six of his 16 career top tens on drafting tracks, most of those came in the Gen-6 era of NASCAR as he hasn't been as fast on these tracks since his return to the NASCAR Cup Series than he was with JTG Daugherty Racing, and Atlanta was his worst on this track to begin with as he has never finished better than 16th there either before or after Atlanta became a drafting track and he has only led a career three laps there. Admittedly, his RFK Racing car seems to be faster than either of the cars he raced before on these tracks and he will be starting 11th. However, the fact that he might be spooked after a second flip at Daytona in a year and a half as well as his past record here suggests he will probably finish worse than he starts.
