6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson stepped up on Sunday with Chris Thompson absent from the team's backfield. It was unclear coming into the game how effective Peterson would be coming off an injury in Week 5, but the Redskins needed a workhorse back and he didn't disappoint, carrying the ball 17 times for 97 yards. The only detriment to his day from a fantasy standpoint was that he didn't score a touchdown. Still, for fantasy owners who elected to gamble on Peterson in the wake of his injury, faith wasn't totally unrewarded.--Chris O'Reilly
