Adrian Peterson Feels Refreshed
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson, who has been bothered by ankle and shoulder injuries for the last few weeks, said he is feeling better than he has in quite some time this week. The Redskins have been limiting the veteran back in practices early in the week as a result. “I’m feeling good. Last week I actually started feeling all the way healthy,” Peterson said. “My shoulder, I’m back to bench pressing. I hadn’t did that in three weeks. So, I’m back to kind of doing the normal things that I was able to do. My ankle is feeling good." The 33-year-old continues to defy the odds and has been the team's leading offensive player all year. However, he's slowed down in the last two weeks and hasn't scored since Oct. 28. Some of that may have to do with the team's beat up offensive line, and it might not get any easier against Houston in Week 11. Still, Peterson remains a volume-based RB2 the rest of the way as the focal point of the offense.
