Adrian Peterson Faces Tough Defense On Thanksgiving
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson has been given a significant workload this season, but he's in line to receive even more volume for the home stretch now that Alex Smith is lost for the year. Peterson's first test as the undisputed leader of Washington's offense will come against a Cowboys team that has been impressive against the run. Dallas has allowed just two teams to rush for over 100 yards this season, and they've surrendered just four rushing touchdowns. Peterson played a role in one of those 100-yard efforts, totaling 99 yards back in Week 7 in the teams' first meeting. The tough defensive matchup aside, Peterson figures to receive more than enough volume out of the backfield to warrant RB2 consideration for Week 12.
