3 years agoThe San Diego Padres have placed pitcher Adrian Morejon (elbow) on the 60-day injured list. The 23-year-old southpaw underwent Tommy John surgery last spring and is still in the midst of working his way back. The move of Morejon to the injured list helped free up a spot on the 40-man roster for newly signed pitcher Nick Martinez. Morejon showed some impressive strikeout potential at Double-A in 2019 when he fanned 44 batters in 36 innings. However, over 32 innings in the majors, he's struggled to the tune of a 5.91 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP. If all goes well, we should see him back in the majors - likely in a relief role - later this season.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
