Adolis Garcia Had Normal Progression Leading Up To Spring Training
1 min agoAccording to Kennedi Landry of MLB.com, Texas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia (knee) had a normal offseason following his eight weeks of rehab. Garcia dealt with a left patella tendon strain during the 2024 season. Across 154 games, the 31-year-old posted a .224/.284/.400 line with 27 doubles, 25 home runs, and 11 stolen bases. He struggled at the plate as he held a hefty 27.8 percent strikeout rate. President of Baseball Operations Chris Young noted that he does not believe Garcia's injury limited him during the 2024 season but that he is in a "better place" entering the 2025 season. The slugger said, "I feel better prepared. I'm ready to go." Garcia enjoyed a career year in 2023 as he held a .245/.328/.508 slash line with 39 home runs. While he carries lower value in points leagues, given his high strikeout rate, he has elite power upside.
