Adeiny Hechavarria Traded To Yankees
6 years agoThe New York Yankees continue to bolster their playoff roster as they acquired shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday night. This is solely a depth move for the Yankees, although Hechavarria could see playing time in the short-term due to Didi Gregorius' foot injury. Hechavarria is carrying a .254 average on the season to go along with four home runs and 29 RBI. His infield defense is far more valuable than his bat, but he should be able to get into the lineup fairly regularly over the next few days until Gregorius returns. Those in deep leagues could stream him for a couple games, but he really has no long-term fantasy value at this point.
