6 years agoTampa Bay Rays shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria may be headed back to the bench despite three hits in the game Sunday. He played shortstop Sunday but reports are saying that Willy Adames will regain the starting job at shortstop Monday and the manager was fairly clear that Adames was his guy going forward. With Daniel Robertson due to potentially return Friday, Hechavarria may soon be a depth player or be traded. Hechavarria is an elite defensive player but few fantasy leagues reward that enough to elevate him even if he was a starter. He will likely need to be traded or have injuries to some Rays players in order to be worth rostering in any but the deepest leagues.--Jamie Mellor
