Toronto Blue Jays utility man Addison Barger went 2-for-4 in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Red Sox, including a double which was his first extra-base hit of his MLB career. The 24-year-old has now hit safely in all four games since his recall, going 6-for-14 (.423) with two RBI, three runs scored, and a stolen base. The former sixth-round draft pick has yet to hit his first MLB home run but had 66 of them in 1581 minor league at-bats, so managers looking for some power upside could add the youngster in nearly all Yahoo leagues. The left-handed hitter is also eligible at 3B, SS, and OF, so managers have some flexibility in how he is deployed.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Addison Barger (hand) is in the starting lineup for Thursday's spring training contest. Barger is batting third and covering the hot corner. Barger was hit by a pitch during Sunday's contest, which kept him sidelined through most of the week. He underwent X-rays but was able to avoid a serious injury. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progress during spring training, as he will likely be competing for a spot on the Opening Day roster. Currently, he is expected to operate as the No. 2 option at third base behind Ernie Clement. However, a strong spring could push him into a more significant role as he has had previous experience in the outfield as well. Last season, Barger made his MLB debut and held a .197/.250/.351 line with seven home runs across 69 games. If he does crack the Opening Day roster, he should have value in deeper AL-only formats.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Addison Barger (hand) is expected to return to the lineup on Wednesday. Barger went through a normal day of work on Tuesday and is on track to return to action on Wednesday. Barger exited Sunday's spring training contest earlier after being hit by a pitch on his hand. He went for X-rays, but the results were negative. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status during camp, as he will likely continue to compete for a role at the hot corner. The 25-year-old made his MLB debut last season and posted a .197/.250/.351 line across 69 games. He hit seven home runs and swiped two bags. He is currently slated to be the No. 2 option at third base behind Ernie Clement. However, a strong spring could push him into a more significant role.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

The X-ray results came back negative on Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Addison Barger (hand). Barger exited Sunday's spring training contest early after being hit by a pitch. However, seeing that his x-rays returned negative, fantasy managers should not expect the infielder to miss much time. Barger could return to the starting lineup as early as later this week. The 25-year-old made his MLB debut last summer. Across his first 69 contests in the majors, Barger posted a .197/.250/.351 slash line. He tallied 11 doubles with seven long balls. He swiped two bags. He struck out at a hefty 26.7 percent rate and only drew walks at a 6.2 percent rate. When he returns to action, Barger will compete for the starting job at third base alongside Ernie Clement.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Addison Barger (hand) was removed early from Sunday's spring training contest due to a right hand contusion. Barger was hit by a pitch from Boston Red Sox left-handed pitcher Garrett Crochet in the opening frame. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the 25-year-old's status next week, as he may be held out of a few games out of precaution. Barger made his MLB debut last season and posted a .197/.250/.351 slash line with 11 doubles and seven home runs across 69 contests. He swiped two bags and held a 14:60 BB:K ratio. However, he did place in the 99th percentile in arm strength, according to Baseball Savant. Fantasy managers should expect Barger to compete for the starting job at the hot corner during camp alongside Ernie Clement.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller
