Adbert Alzolay Records First Save
3 years agoChicago Cubs pitcher Adbert Alzolay tossed the final four innings of Tuesday's victory the Minnesota Twins to record his first career save. He allowed one hit, zero runs, zero hits and struck out five. Alzolay was activated earlier in the day from the 10-day injured list and was thrown straight into action. Manager David Ross said before the game that Alzolay would remain in the bullpen. It's an interesting move by Ross, because Alzolay is one of the best arms on the staff and he has been a starter throughout his young career. Those in redraft leagues can avoid Alzolay moving forward. For the season, the right-hander is 4-13 with a 4.98 ERA.
