Adbert Alzolay Gets Tuesday's Save
1 year agoChicago Cubs right-hander Adbert Alzolay earned his second save of the season when his team defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 2-1 on Tuesday. He threw the last two innings of the game, striking out four and allowing no baserunners. Alzolay has done well out of the bullpen this year, pitching to a 2.42 ERA and 0.85 WHIP with 26 punchouts over 26 innings, and has added five holds to his line. Mark Leiter Jr. pitched the seventh inning against the top of the order and was successful with a clean frame. Fantasy managers should still expect Leiter Jr. to pick up most of the save chances with his 1.61 ERA, but Alzolay should get his fair share as well.
