Adam Warren Diagnosed With Ankle Contusion
7 years agoNew York Yankees reliever Adam Warren (ankle) made his season debut Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays, lasting only three batters. Appearing in the sixth inning, the right-hander was hit in the leg by a comeback line drive, which resulted in an out. While he smiled, Warren didn’t even attempt to toss a pitch with the trainers out, being immediately pulled from the game. Fortunately for the Yankees, X-rays on the 30-year-old’s right ankle were negative, but he was diagnosed with an ankle contusion. At this moment, a disabled list stint doesn’t seem necessary, and the Yankees won’t make another roster move relating to Warren.
