2 years agoAccording to a tweet from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Derrick Goold on Wednesday, veteran starting pitcher Adam Wainwright will reportedly be back next season on the team. Goold tweeted: "Adam Wainwright will be returning to #stlcards for the 2023 season, Post-Dispatch has been told. Look for news story shortly @stltoday." The longtime Cardinal made 32 starts for the club last season, throwing 191.1 innings. The veteran enjoyed another strong season for St. Louis, pitching to a 3.71 ERA, a 3.66 FIP, 143 strikeouts and 54 walks. The Cardinals' other rotation options include the likes of Miles Mikolas, Jordan Montgomery, Jack Flaherty, Dakota Hudson, Steven Matz, and Adrian Pallante.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
