Adam Wainwright Looking To Right The Ship Thursday
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright will look to get back on track Thursday as he takes on the Los Angeles Dodgers at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The 41-year-old missed significant time to begin the season due to a groin issue and hasn't exactly dominated upon his return. The right-hander has allowed four earned runs across five innings in each of his two starts this season, adding up to a 7.20 ERA with two homers surrendered in 10 innings for the season. The good news is Wainwright is pitching where he's at his best as he owns a career 2.88 ERA at home versus a 4.00 ERA anywhere not named Busch Stadium. However, he'll certainly have his hands full against a Dodgers offense that ranks third with a .343 wOBA versus right-handed pitching this season.
