Adam Vinatieri Intends to Kick in 2018
7 years agoFormer Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri told the media on Tuesday that he intends to continue kicking for the upcoming season, which would make it his 23rd in the NFL, per NFL Insider Adam Schefter. As a soon-to-be free agent, Vinatieri has spent two more seasons with Indianapolis (12) than in New England (10) and was open about a potential return to the Colts. However, it is unclear whether the team will look to move on from the 45-year-old kicker in the 2018 offseason given how general manager Chris Ballard has looked to build a younger foundation for the Colts as whole. For fantasy purposes, Vinatieri is a tough sell without quarterback Andrew Luck under center given the Colts putrid offensive efficiency last season.
