Adam Scott Withdraws From St. Jude Classic
6 years agoThe 64th-ranked golfer in the world, Adam Scott, has withdrawn from the FedEx St. Jude Classic this week. Scott, who has been a man on a mission the last two months trying to find a way into the U.S. Open, ended up qualifying for his 68th consecutive Major appearance during the Columbus U.S. Open sectional qualifier. Scott had played five straight weeks trying to accumulate enough points to get himself into the top 60 of the Official World Golf Rankings. He was going to make it a sixth consecutive week at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, but with his roundabout way of getting into the U.S. Open field, Scott will finally get to take a break and get himself prepared for Shinnecock Hills next week. Scott will be replaced in the St. Jude Classic field by Mark Wilson. Be sure to remove Scott from all DFS lineups this week.
