Adam Scott Posts a Top-10 Finish at the Byron Nelson
7 years agoAdam Scott shot a 15-under par at the AT&T Byron Nelson, finishing in a share of ninth place. Scott, who is trying to get into the U.S. Open, needed to get into the top 60 of the Official Golf World Rankings to secure his spot. Unfortunately for Scott, he just missed and is currently ranked 61st in the world. Scott has participated in 67 straight majors, the second longest streak behind only Sergio Garcia. There will be one more cutoff for players inside of the top 60 in the world after the FedEx St. Jude Classic, the week before the U.S. Open. When all is said and done, Scott should find himself in the field. He is competing in the Fort Worth Invitational this weekend and has been on record saying he will participate in both the Memorial and FedEx St. Jude Classic if it is needed to ensure his spot.
