3 years agoLast week, it was one bad round for Adam Scott that took him out of contention at the Rocket Mortgage Classic. A third-round 78 saw Scott finish outside the top-35, even with shooting a 69, 66, and 65 in his other three rounds. Even with his long PGA Tour career, Scott will only be making his fourth start at the Wyndham Championship. Last year, Scott finished T2 at the event, his best career finish. In terms of DFS, the field isn't very strong this week, and Scott's DFS price is too low for his talent. Scott should be a great play this week, and he does have some incentive to play well. Scott currently sits 73rd in the FedEx Cup standings, which is three spots, and 18.8 points out of the BMW Championship cutline. No matter what, Scott will have a place in the FedEx St. Jude next week, but a big finish this week would put less pressure on Scott next week in Memphis. --Kasey Kuhrts - RotoBaller

1 month agoAdam Scott finished tied for 37th at last month's Genesis Invitational and is now focusing on preparing for this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational, held at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club. He has not missed a cut in any of his four starts this season, including two top-25 finishes. Scott has had mixed results at this tournament in the past; he missed the cut in 2024 and finished tied for 31st in 2023. Over the past 12 months, he has ranked in the 35th percentile for approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. This is significant because, at last year's Arnold Palmer Invitational, over 35% of approach shots came from this range. Given Scott's past performance at this tournament, he may be a risky choice for DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

2 months agoAdam Scott is 44 years old. The Australian golfer's last win was at the 2020 Genesis Invitational. He has a history of unexpected success at tournaments like the one upcoming at Torrey Pines. He has 14 wins on the PGA Tour. Also, he has consecutive Top-25 finishes in his two PGA events this 2025 season. Scott started off very slow at Pebble Beach and that cannot happen at Torrey Pines. However, it is tough to ignore that final round 64. That included six birdies on the final nine holes (which was his start). Scott is another one of those golfers who could find the conditions suitable to his game this week. That makes him a value DFS or betting choice. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller

2 months agoAdam Scott has played just one PGA Tour event in 2025, finishing T15 at The Sentry before heading to the Dubai Desert Classic. He now shifts his focus to Pebble Beach, where he's played four times, with a T20 finish in 2024 being his best result. Scott is one of the tour's longest hitters, ranking 15th in driving distance in 2024, but Pebble Beach's shorter layout favors accuracy, an area where he ranked 139th in driving accuracy. Approach shots from 100-150 yards will be crucial, as 37.6% of all approach shots come from this range, and Scott ranks in the 45th percentile for greens in regulation from this distance. While Scott has the ability to get hot and take over any tournament, fantasy managers will need to carefully weigh his $7,600 DraftKings price tag.--Dakota Legg - RotoBaller

6 months agoAdam Scott has officially become the "old guy" at this week's Presidents Cup. The 44-year-old Australian is set to take part in his 11th career Presidents Cup in Montreal. Scott is expected to be a steadying, veteran presence for the International Team, as they are set to take on a talented, but relatively inexperienced United States squad. The Aussie won't just be a figurehead member of the team this week, as Scott closed his 2024 season in red-hot form. He notched top-10 results in four of his last five starts to finish fourth in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Don't be surprised if the veteran is a thorn in the side of the Americans at Royal Montreal.--Joe Nicely - RotoBaller
