Adam Plutko Turns In Second Straight Poor Outing Wednesday
3 years agoBaltimore Orioles relief pitcher Adam Plutko did not pitch well and was charged with a blown save in Wednesday's 9-7 loss to the Rays. Plutko came on to pitch in the seventh inning up by three with one out and a runner on second. He gave up an RBI single, allowing the inherited runner to score, then allowed a two-run home run to tie the game. He then got an out but hit the next batter before getting removed rom the game. Plutko's final line was 1/3 IP with two runs allowed on two hits (including a solo home run) and a hit batter. He has generally pitched well this season but has now allowed six earned runs in his last 1 1/3 IP. Plutko currently has little fantasy value given that he is not a high-leverage situation relief pitcher.
