5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Adam Plutko suffered his fourth loss on the season Sunday, allowing six hits, four walks and four earned runs over 4 1/3 innings. This was only the second time since July 15 that Plutko had allowed over three earned runs in a start. He had a solid month of August, going 3-1 with a 3.41 ERA. Plutko doesn't induce many strikeouts. His 16.1% strikeout rate ranks amongst the bottom 10% of the league. But he's good at limiting hard contact and walks. His 30.1% hard-hit rate and 5% walk rate both rank amongst the top 10% of the league. He's usable as a streaming option in favorable matchups, but his next one is a tough one on the road against the Twins on Friday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
