Adam Plutko Pitches Three Innings Tuesday
4 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitcher Adam Plutko had a decent outing in Tuesday's 2-7 loss to the Yankees. Plutko came on in the fourth inning down by a run with no outs and the bases loaded. He got a double play out of the gate, then allowed two hits, but settled down from there. He ended up allowing two runs to score, but both runners were inherited. Plutko's final line was three innings pitched with two hits allowed, no walks, and no strikeouts. He was traded to the O's late in spring training and has worked out of the bullpen so far, but has spent most of his career as a starter. Plutko may get some start opportunities at some point if he continues to pitch well and some of the O's starters continue to struggle.
