Adam Ottavino Converts His Fourth Save Friday
2 years agoNew York Mets reliever Adam Ottavino picked up his fourth save of the season on Friday when he closed out the 1-0 victory over the Colorado Rockies. He struck out one and surrendered one hit in an inning of work. Ottavino now owns a 3.75 ERA with 14 strikeouts and four walks over 12 innings and has added two holds to his ledger. David Robertson still leads the Mets in the save department, earning six of his own, but he pitched the eighth inning against the top of the lineup Friday. It's safe to say this is a closer by committee, and Ottavino will continue grabbing save opportunities depending on the situation. The 37-year-old is a solid fantasy option, especially in save and hold leagues, as he's one of the more trusted arms in the Mets bullpen.
