4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-handed pitcher Adam Morgan was placed on the 10-day injured list prior to Tuesday’s contest against the Nationals due to a fatigued left shoulder. Morgan has allowed five runs (three homers) through his first 7 ⅔ frames this season, but has amassed 11 strikeouts in that stretch. Having been a consistent relief cog for the Phillies since 2017, Morgan’s placement on the IL made room for recently acquired righty David Phelps to join the active roster. JoJo Romero figures to take over primary southpaw duties so long as Morgan is out of the mix.--Jesse Borek
