Adam Mazur Earns First Victory Of Triple-A Regular Season
6 days agoMiami Marlins pitching prospect Adam Mazur tossed five shutout innings on Tuesday en route to earning his first victory of the campaign. He allowed just three hits and a walk. He struck out five batters. This was a nice bounce-back outing for Mazur as he allowed two runs and two hits across five innings in his start of the regular season. The 23-year-old made his MLB debut last summer with the San Diego Padres and held a 7.49 ERA with a 1.81 WHIP across 33 2/3 innings of work. Across this stint, he struggled to control his pitches as he served up 21 free passes. He struggled at the Triple-A level last summer as well, posting a 6.20 ERA with a 1.38 WHIP. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression with Jacksonville, as he could be in the mix to return to the majors later in this summer.
