3 years agoAdam Long had an excellent fall swing. After Oct. 10, Long had four straight top-25s. At The Houston Open, Long finished 11th while gaining 5.2 strokes from tee to green. Long carried that performance over to a top-20 at the RSM Classic. Long is an excellent Bermuda putter, which is why it is surprising he has two missed cuts at The Sony. He ranks 91st in putting at Waialae. Long is cheap across the industry and won't be highly owned, which makes him a nice flyer. 3 years agoAdam Long won the American Express, formally known as the Desert Classic, in 2019. He came into that week off three straight missed cuts. After his win in 2019, Long went on to miss five more cuts in a row. Long's win was an outlier, but he played very well that week. He had 16.2 strokes gained total that week. He rode a hot putter to shoot a seven-under 65 to beat Adam Hadwin by one shot. Long is coming into this event in better form. While he missed the cut last week, he had two straight top-20 finishes. The 34-year-old American is a volatile golfer. While he has won this event before, it may not be a wise play to roster him in cash games or GPPs.--Rob Giltner - RotoBaller
