Adam Henrique Signs Five-Year Extension In Anaheim
6 years agoThe Anaheim Ducks and Adam Henrique have reached an agreement on a five-year extension for the 28-year-old forward. The annual average value of the deal is $5.85 million. Henrique was traded to the Ducks during last season in return principally for defenseman Sami Vatanen. In 57 games with Anaheim, Henrique scored 20 goals, including eight game-winners, and 36 points. Henrique’s ridiculous 19.6% shooting with the Ducks last season is surprisingly not the highest of his career; he posted a 20.1% in 2015-16 when he became a 30-goal scorer for the first time. As a result of this signing, New Jersey earns Anaheim’s 2019 third-round pick, having signed Henrique before the 2019 draft. Henrique, in a full season with the Ducks, should be in line for another 40- to 50-point year.
