Adam Hadwin Back Home In The Arizona Desert
10 months agoNormally a quiet, unassuming figure on the PGA Tour, 2017 Valspar Champion Adam Hadwin has carved out a stellar career at the top level. The 36-year-old Canadian currently sits as the 49th-ranked player on the planet and has managed to make the FedEx Cup Playoffs in every one of his nine seasons on the PGA Tour. But Hadwin gets a chance to compete in the desert (be it in Palm Springs, Las Vegas, or right here in Scottsdale), he's built one of the most impressive track records in professional golf. Since 2014, at the venues listed above, Hadwin has recorded an incredible 11 top-ten finishes in 26 starts. The 10th-place finish he recorded here last season remains the highlight of the Canadian's resume in his adopted state of Arizona, and with three top-15 finishes over his last five starts leading into this year's iteration, Hadwin looks primed to build on his stellar Southwestern resume. Currently listed at upwards of 50-1 in the betting market, there are certainly worse shots to take if you feel the favorites this week are due for another shock in this wild 2024 season.
