Adam Gase Gets The Boot In Miami
6 years agoThe Miami Dolphins fired head coach Adam Gase after three seasons on Monday, according to a source. The team also promoted general manager Chris Grier to oversee football operations and reassigned Mike Tannenbaum, who was previously vice president of football operations. Gase didn't help his cause in the 42-17 Week 17 loss to the Bills. Gase finished 23-25 in his three years, with Miami's offense near the bottom of the league every year. Miami seems to be set on a rebuild in order to get younger. The Dolphins have already requested interviews with Patriots defensive coordinator Brian Flores and Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio for the vacancy. The biggest question for Miami moving forward is whether to stick with quarterback Ryan Tannehill. They also need to get Kenyan Drake more involved in the backfield and upgrade their receiving corps.
