Adam Frazier Projected To Start At 2B
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said the team feels good about infielder Adam Frazier being the regular second baseman heading into next season. Frazier was a utility player for the Bucs in 2018 and also saw time in the outfield, hitting .277/.342/.456 with a career-high 10 home runs and 35 RBI in 113 games. He's perhaps most useful for his on-base skills, but he doesn't have much power to speak of. Frazier's counting stats should be more useful in an everyday role as a middle infield option in deep mixed and NL-only leagues, though. He's a career .286 hitter against southpaws, too, so a full-time role won't necessarily hurt his overall slash line.
