Adam Fox Continues Good Start To March With An Assist
4 years agoNew York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox recorded a power-play assist in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Pittsburgh, reaching five points in five games for the month. He combined with Pavel Buchnevich to set up Ryan Strome for his sixth goal of the season. Fox had a six-game dry spell last month, but he's come back very strong with three multi-point outings in eight appearances. He now has two goals and 15 points for the year in 24 games with 52 shots and 51 blocks. The guy is a beast at both ends of the ice, and he'll look to show it again in a pair of games against Boston to cap off the week.

Adam Fox Heading To Injured Reserve
3 weeks agoNew York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox (upper body) will miss at least three games, as The Athletic's Arthur Staple has reported that the team will place him on Injured Reserve. Fox was hurt in Tuesday's Battle of New York against the Islanders. According to Staple, there is "optimism" that Fox will be available for the Rangers during the final weeks of the season. Fox was knocked out of the lineup during his most productive offensive spell of the season. He has logged at least one point in seven consecutive outings, pushing his total to 48 points (three goals, 45 assists). Fox's presence will also be missed in the defensive zone, as he is ranked third on the team with 83 blocks. K'Andre Miller (lower body) looks to be in line to take over as the Rangers' No. 1 defenseman. However, he was also injured on Tuesday, and it's unclear if Miller will be available for Friday's contest against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Adam Fox Sustains Upper-Body Injury
3 weeks agoNew York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox (upper body) exited Tuesday's contest early. The defenseman sustained a collision in the third period and landed on his arm. He left the ice in pain. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next contest on Friday evening against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Before exiting, Fox tallied a helper and logged four blocked shots. He held a +0 rating and added two penalty minutes. New York defenseman K'Andre Miller (lower body) left this contest as well and could leave their blue line shortened for the remainder of the week. Fox is currently riding a seven-game point streak. During this stretch, the 27-year-old has tallied two goals and added six helpers. If he were to miss time, Will Borgen could move up to the top pairing.

Adam Fox Records Three Points In Wednesday's Win
3 months agoNew York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox had a three-point night in Wednesday's 3-2 victory against Buffalo. Fox picked up a couple of assists, including a power-play helper, and scored his first goal of the season with the Sabres net empty in the final minutes. The star blue-liner needed to produce 41 shots on goal to get his first marker of the campaign. There hasn't been much puck luck for Fox in front of goal, but he's still been productive and remains on track for a fourth consecutive 70-point season. 25 points in 28 games put Fox tied for fifth on the defensemen scoring charts.
