3 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (oblique) is set to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Tuesday. Mondesi has been out since June 20 with a strained left oblique and he has managed to play just 10 games this year due to multiple injuries. Royals GM Dane Moore dropped a meteor on fantasy managers rostering Mondesi in dynasty leagues earlier this week. Speaking of Mondesi in 2022, Moore said, "We can't count on him as an everyday player." Mondesi has been a standout fantasy asset when healthy over the past six years, stealing 114 bases and hitting 36 home runs over 318 games. Fantasy managers shouldn't hit the panic button quite yet on Mondesi, but clearly he has to earn some trust back from the organization.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
