6 years agoThe 2019 Kansas City Royals squad is going to be one of the fastest teams ever, and shortstop Adalberto Mondesi got it started on Opening Day. Mondesi flew around the bases to leg out not one, but two triples in the first game of the season. One required an instant replay overturned call, but it's what goes in the scorebook that counts. In appropriate fashion, Mondesi also struck out in his other two at-bats. Mondesi hit in the No. 2 spot in the lineup behind Whit Merrifield, so expect him to see plenty of RBI opportunities if that continues.
