4 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi is hitting second in the lineup in Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Indians. It'll be the first time Mondesi has hit higher than seventh in the lineup since August 11 and the first time he's hit second since July 31. Mondesi is slashing just .200/.226/.273. However, he's off to a good start in September. He has hits in four straight games and he hit his first home of the year on Monday. Despite his struggles, he still has 11 stolen bases on the season. With Jorge Soler (oblique) placed on the Injured List and Salvador Perez (eye) still attempting to come back, there's a chance here for Mondesi to stick at the top of the lineup for a bit and increase his production in the process.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
