Aaron Wise Picks Up First Career PGA Tour Win
7 years agoAaron Wise picked up his first career PGA Tour victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson. The 21-year-old finished the tournament at 23-under par. Wise outlasted veteran Marc Leishman to win by three shots. The former NCAA champion from Oregon showed incredible poise, firing an impressive bogey-free 65 in Sunday’s rain-delayed final round. Wise had logged an impressive second-place finish recently at the Wells Fargo Championship, but this type of dominant performance was totally unexpected. The young star won’t have long to savor his first victory, as he will be right back in action at this week’s Fort Worth Invitational.
