Aaron Rodgers Sees More Potential For Aaron Jones
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had high praise for the team's lead back, Aaron Jones, following their win over the Bears on Sunday. The veteran signal-caller touted the halfback's ability to be a threat in both the rushing and receiving game, emphasizing that he and AJ Dillon were an integral part of the game plan. The former MVP added, "we're just kind of scratching the surface I think with him, which is fun." While it's unclear exactly how that will translate in terms of the 27-year-old's usage, it's nice for fantasy football managers to hear. While he was out-carried 10-to-five and out-targeted six-to-five by Dillon in their season-opener, causing concern about his role, however, it returned to more of an even split in Week 2, leading to a massive game for the Texas El-Paso product. Jones remains a top-20 option, with top-12 upside in their context against the Buccaneers Sunday night.
