Aaron Rodgers Racks Up Stats in Disappointing Performance
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had an excellent day from a statistical perspective in Week 5 against the Detroit Lions. He threw for three touchdowns and 442 yards on 32-for-52 passing with no interceptions. Rodgers had a rough first half where he struggled with his accuracy and lost two fumbles. With Detroit way out ahead in the second half they softened up their defense and Rodgers was able to get things going. Overall there is no reason for any long-term concern for Rodgers. Green Bay was missing two of their starting wide receivers, both of whom may return next week. Additionally, Green Bay’s offense has frequently gotten out to a slow start over the past few years. And regardless of any accuracy concerns, Rodgers did put up a stellar fantasy performance. He should still be considered an elite fantasy option who should be started every week.
