Aaron Rodgers, Packers Offense Struggling
5 years agoThe Green Bay Packers offense under new head coach Matt LaFleur is ranked at No. 28 in total offense after three weeks. Rodgers has thrown for only 647 yards, the second lowest total of his career through three games of a season. His 57 completions rank as his lowest total to this point in a season since 2009. Green Bay's defense, which improved significantly through the draft, leads the NFL in takeaways (eight), is second in scoring defense (11.7 points allowed per game) and is third in sack percentage. Rodgers suggested that the key could be getting wide receiver Davante Adams the ball more. Adams had just four targets in Week 3. Rodgers would also like to get tight end Jimmy Graham more involved after he's gone catchless the last two weeks. Contributing to Green Bay's slow start on offense has been the fact that they've faced three solid defenses in the Bears, Vikings and Broncos to kick off the year. With the Eagles coming to town this Thursday, Rodgers, Adams and the rest of the offense could put up their best numbers of the season to date.
