Aaron Rodgers Open To More Than Two Years With Jets
1 year agoNew York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers said he is open to playing more than two years with the team and he wants to keep going as long as his body lets him. Rodgers recently voluntarily reduced his salary by about $35 million over the next two seasons, but his new deal is technically a five-year deal with two option years to spread out bonus proration. Rodgers gave the team the flexibility to make moves over the next few seasons, but his reworked contract means he could stay in New York for several more years. Obviously, the 39-year-old could decline suddenly as he approaches his 19th NFL campaign, but it will be interesting to see if he can last as long as Tom Brady did.
