Aaron Rodgers Not A Lock For Week 2
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said "no decision has been made" about whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers (knee) will play in Week 2 against the Vikings. Rodgers injured his knee in the first half in Week 1 against the Bears and had to be carted off, but he returned in the second half and went 20-for-30 for 286 yards and three touchdowns to lead the team back to a comeback win. It seems odd that Rodgers wouldn't play in Week 2 after coming back into the game, but perhaps he made the injury worse by returning. We'd still bet that Rodgers will suit up in a big game this Sunday against the division-rival Vikes. As long as Rodgers is playing, he'll be a must-start. If he doesn't play for some reason, Deshone Kizer will get the start, which would be a big downgrade for all of Green Bay's aerial weapons.
