Aaron Rodgers In Danger Of Missing Week 16?
6 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (groin) injured his groin in the Week 15 loss to the Bears, although he wants and expects to play in Week 16 against the Jets. Head coach Joe Philbin also wants and expects Rodgers to suit up. With Green Bay officially eliminated from the postseason, it's fair to wonder if the Packers will sit Rodgers out to avoid further injury. "In the general sense, my philosophy is football players are paid to play football games, and football coaches are paid to coach football games, so obviously we have to go through the week and we would never put any player out there that wasn't physically ready to go," said Philbin, the Packers' interim coach. Philbin said he hasn't had any talks with the front office about potentially resting Rodgers. Until further notice, expect Rodgers to start in a good matchup. He hasn't been the normal elite QB1 fantasy owners have come to expect for most of this year, but he has bounce-back potential in this one if he plays.
