Aaron Rodgers Has Pivotal Week 7 Matchup Against Commanders
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (thumb) will travel to Washington to face the Commanders this Sunday. He played through the injury last week and is on track to play in Week 7. Through six weeks, the reigning MVP has not finished inside the top 12 and is currently the QB20 overall in total fantasy points scored. Green Bay's offense has struggled since trading wide receiver Davante Adams this past offseason, and Rodgers' fantasy value has plummeted as a result. This matchup against Washington is crucial. The Commanders allow the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the quarterback position and are tied for the second-most passing touchdowns allowed. Opposing quarterbacks have finished with 17 or more fantasy points in four out of six weeks against Washington. Trevor Lawrence and Ryan Tannehill were the only quarterbacks who failed to reach the mark. Rodgers needs to produce as a top-12 QB, especially in a week where Josh Allen and Jalen Hurts are on bye, for fantasy managers to trust him moving forward. The 38-year-old should be considered a fringe QB1 in Week 7.
