Aaron Rodgers A Potentially Risky Start Sunday
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers will travel to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers Sunday. The 39-year-old looked much better last Sunday against the Chicago Bears, throwing for 234 yards and two touchdowns. However, Rodgers still finished outside the top 15 for fantasy managers, and he is now going to face a Tampa Bay defense that has allowed 13 total points through two games. Not only will the reigning MVP face an elite pass defense, but he will be without veteran receiver Sammy Watkins (hamstring), while Christian Watson (hamstring) and Randall Cobb (illness) are questionable heading into the weekend. Once again, Rodgers could be short on pass-catching talent, capping his fantasy scoring ceiling. There are potentially better streaming options on the waiver wire this week that are less risky to start, but Rodgers will head into Sunday as a borderline top 15 option at the position.
