Aaron Nola’s Dominant Start Not Enough In Boston
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies kicked off a brief, two-game set with the Boston Red Sox in a battle of first-place teams Monday night. On the mound was team ace Aaron Nola and he would perform exactly as the club could’ve hoped for. The 25-year-old went eight strong, surrendering just one run on four hits while walking one and striking out six. His only problem was that the Phillies only managed to score one run themselves, resulting in this being a no-decision. Regardless, for the right-hander to dominate the best team in baseball on the road in the manner that he did is yet another confidence-booster for the ace. Nola’s record remains at an incredible 12-3, while his ERA has fallen to 2.35.
